Khloe Anne

Job title:PTSD Assistance Dog
What's up dog?
Khloe is a 3 year old Labrador from Guide Dogs Victoria. She was matched with me in July 2023 to become my Assistance Dog. The process can be long and hard, but for Khloe and I not so much. They say the best bond betwern humans and animals form when the Animal chooses you, I believe we chose each other. It was definitely love at first sight for us both. We are inseparable, and this bond was even more so when I found out a week later that I was pregnant. Having CPTSD can be challenging enough without adding hormones into the mix, but in late Febuary this year we passed our PAT Test with flying colours, just a short ymths after being matched. Khloe is a ray of sunshine to everyone around her. She will pick up if I am anxious in crowds and creates a block so I can have breathing space. This is just one of her many jobs that she performs along with deep pressure therapy to help ground me whilst I'm in a midst of a panic attack. Without Khloe I wouldn't have had the confidence to go back to university and I wouldn't have had the confidence to attend the MCH to watch my beloved Tigers and watch Dusty play his 300th.
She's a superstar where ever she goes, but most importantly she's the love of my life.
