Chained Dog Rehabilitation and Rehoming

Chained Dog Rehabilitation & Rehoming are an Auckland dog rescue that work with owners of neglected and abused dogs to help improve their lives, and provide the tools so they can become responsible dog owners. We are a team of nationwide volunteers who educate and empower these owners to help improve their dogs living conditions.

We also rehabilitate and rehome any dogs relinquished into our care, along with working closely with many Council Animal Shelters across New Zealand.

We believe in helping ANY dog we can, no matter the size, breed or situation.

Amanda Fraser Jones

Chained Dog Rehabilitation and Rehoming representative

Amanda's roles span Trustee, Adoptions Coordination, Foster Coordination, Social Media Manager, Customer Service, Procurement Manager, Fundraiser...all sorts of things!

Her desire to help dogs came when she got her first dog who was used as a waking puppy mill, and abandoned when she was no longer bringing in money. Amanda knew it was just so wrong and wanted to be able to make a difference in other dog's lives. That was the beginning of her rescue journey, and it has driven her passion ever since.

When asked what she thinks the most rewarding part of volunteering for CDRRNZ is, she says "working with an amazing bunch of humans who want to do their bit to improve dog's lives". Amanda also feels rewarded when seeing a dog happy and thriving in its forever home.
