What's up dog?
We run a small marketing and design studio for the equestrian industry and our two Border Collies Jess and Dog (named after the dogs in Footrot Flats) spend every day 9am to 5pm in the office with us.
They are an integral part of our office, especially when our staff work alone, they break up the day with pats, cuddles and even throwing the ball. If a team member is not feeling the best, they cheer them up. Ask any of our team and they couldn’t imagine the working day without our dogs. One of their special quirks is in the morning we have Zoom team meetings with the team that aren’t in the office. Jess and Dog can’t handle the attention isn’t on them so they will play fight, ‘talk loudly’ and usually destroy a toy so when the meeting is over there is a sea of white fluff covering the floor.
Even when we have clients to visit, Dog and Jess are there as they love new visitors. Client’s love them, they put them at ease and make meetings less daunting and more natural. Our dogs are such a favourite with clients that they have even appeared in their marketing campaigns! Dog, in particular, has the job title of ‘Happiness Manager’ and he is a favourite with anyone that meets him because he is a happy sweet dog that cheers anyone up! He will come up to your desk and put his paw on your knee for a pat at random times throughout the day.
