Bundy
Breed: German Shepherd
Barking from: Wurtulla, QLD
Job title: Medical alert and response/mobility assistance dog
What's up dog?
Bundy has significantly impacted my life. I have just graduated high school during which i got extremely sick and spent multiple months in hospital with a condition called dysautonomia, which affects every system in my body. Bundy diligently alerts to my heart rate, blood pressure and blood sugar changing and responds if i pass out by barking for help and laying over my chest and licking my face until i wake up. He has given me the independence to go to uni full time and hold a part time job, as well as go out with mates and run errands which i was previously too afraid to do on my own due to my fainting. He's a dedicated worker, he works 24/7, alerting at home, at work or even if he's off leash having fun. He's given me the freedom to go into the adult world confidently. He also does work as an education and ambassador dog, going to public events and schools to educate people on disabilities and how assistance dogs are life saving tools.
