What's up dog?

Walter, our resident therapy dog, has a special job supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents. His presence helps to build their confidence, minimise anxiety and help them achieve their goals. Through his gentle and non-judgmental nature, Walter creates a safe and comforting environment, allowing children to feel more at ease and open to interaction. This bond not only enhances our clients' social skills but also fosters a sense of security, significantly contributing to their overall emotional well-being. Walter has made remarkable progress with so many of our clients; we've had children with mutism speak aloud for the first time in years, children emerge in public who've not left the confines of their home for months on end, chronically ill children keel over in fits of giggles watching Walter's ball skills and antics, and children disengaged in learning re-engage in schooling with Walter's support.
