What's up dog?

Ella was 4 months old when I brought her home and I knew then she would change my life for the better. She was a shy anxious dog, and this is what attracted me to her as I have struggled with depression and anxiety for over 20 years so I completely understand it. Many people look at an anxious dog and get frustrated or upset but we worked together and found ways to deal with her anxiety. I did endless research, worked with vets and trainers etc and we have come such a long way in five years. She is the most loyal, loving, supportive companion I could ever wish for. She doesn’t let her anxiety stop her from getting out and living life to the fullest anymore. Her favourite thing in the world is going on holidays and swimming at the beach. Seeing her run free and happy is the best sight in the world .

Ella has been by my side for the last five years and since I have had her my mental health has improved immensely. I still struggle daily, however knowing Ella needs me keeps me going. I see the improvements she has made and it makes me want to work on myself so I can be the best version of myself for her.
When I wake up every morning and she’s laying by my side I know it’s going to be ok. She comforts me when I’m sad or anxious.. she always does something goofy to make me laugh .. she just knows exactly what I need and when I need it.
I couldn’t imagine my life without her and we have so much to look forward to together. I want her to have the best life possible and when she’s happy, I’m happy.
