Cruz

People's Choice Finalist

Cruz

Breed: Border Collie

Barking from: Victoria

What's up dog?

Cruz has had a rough start in life yet he is always smiling! Considering how many fears he had (and still has) since I adopted him, he still loves life and goes onto every adventure with me. Whether it is a beach day or a road trip, he is always ready and excited for a new adventure. He is the best reminder that when life throws sticks your way, you pick them up and carry them around! I think he shows people that life can be good and both his smile and his goofiness make people smile!
To me, he is so much more than that. I wanted to train him to be an assistance dog yet his leash reactivity made that impossible. On paper. Unofficially, he already is. He makes me smile every day. He forces me to go on walks or to play with him when I feel down. He comes when I am upset. He even gives me sad faces if I am up for too long and should go to bed. The love Cruz and I have for each other and the impact he has on me is not really describable. He already is my Top Dog!
