What's up dog?
Whilst Bernie made it to the shortlist last year. We are back again this year for another go to make it to the top.
Bernie continues to be a familiar face in the Dogs ACT office. He is one of our admins beloved pooches and lucky to be her office companion. He continues to work hard greeting members and visitors to the office, with his little black and white face peeking over the edge of the counter as they walk in, sometimes he likes to entertain them (bring a toy for them to throw for him) whilst their paperwork is being taken care of, if he feels they are being well looked after by the human staff he can be found sleeping on the job in his bed. He also enjoys regular patrolling the grounds to ensure the that the lawns of the show rings are not being disturbed by the local Galahs.
He continues to work hard outside of the work place training and competing in various dogs sports (he keeps his human fit with Flyball, Agility, Tricks and Rally) and being as versatile as he can be he often practises some of his tricks and rally moves during work hours to ensure his skills are kept in top shape.
One of his new tricks is learning to bring papers from the counter to the staff, it’s a work in progress.
He does believe a payrise of more Nuggets is in order just for his cute charm.
We believe that no dog should be left behind.
Every dog that enters is eligible for the 2024 People's Choice Award. The winner of the 2024 OZ People's Choice will be decided by you, the people!
This year, we wanted to give the love back to our communities.
