What's up dog?
Spotty works in the Dementia and Delirium Wards at the Mater Public Hospital. He sits with patients on their beds or lap offering snuggles and ear scruffs to calm their fears. He also offers a listening ear to patients who have nobody to visit them. He also engages in group sessions with patients designed to promote social engagement and inclusion for patients who would otherwise alienate themselves to their bed. He brings the ward together and leaves no one behind. His gentle soul brings comfort to Patients during the most vulnerable time.
We believe that no dog should be left behind.
Every dog that enters is eligible for the 2024 People's Choice Award. The winner of the 2024 OZ People's Choice will be decided by you, the people!
