K9 Medical Detection NZ
Deeply concerned at the high statistics of cancer deaths within New Zealand, Pauline Blomfield, an experienced canine trainer, created K9 Medical Detection NZ (K9MD) with the aim of developing a non-invasive diagnostic test for the early detection of cancer. Personal determination and tenacity has seen K9MD go from a concept and a simple desire to make a difference; to a world-leading recognised organisation in canine medical detection, complete with a full scientific and clinical team.
K9MD is dedicated to advancing medical detection capabilities through the unique and highly effective use of trained canines. The organisation’s mission is to improve health outcomes and enhance quality of life by harnessing the extraordinary olfactory abilities of dogs to detect diseases early and accurately.

Every year, our campaign is supported and celebrated by a variety of incredible charities across Australia, all of whom work tirelessly to make a positive impact for dogs in their respected communities. All money (100%) will go to Australian mental health and dog-related charities.
