The Role
- Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for accuracy
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits
- Manage the preparation of tax filings and support year-end reporting processes
- Work closely with senior management to analyse financial data and provide strategic insights
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and accounting systems
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as required
- CA or CPA qualified
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in financial software (TechnologyOne preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
