Short-term, 1–2-month temp assignment for a Payroll Officer with end-to-end Payroll experience, based Wacol with a well known Not-For-Profit.
The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working a within a team, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- Process end-to-end payroll with precision, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
- Handle payroll adjustments, including overtime, leave, and deductions, with accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll reports, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Manage the payroll email inbox, addressing queries from employees and department managers professionally and efficiently.
- Work closely with HR and other departments to ensure accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and support audit processes as needed.
- Stay informed on payroll regulations to ensure processes meet statutory requirements.
- Perform ad hoc payroll and administrative tasks as required.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing and calculations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
