About the role:
The Marketing Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting related to marketing activities within the organisation. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills with confidence to liaise and guide stakeholders to ensure both company, stakeholders and external customers are adhering to internal governance ensuring all compliance and control measures are satisfied.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial marketing data.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and legislation to ensure compliance.
- Planning and analysis to settle marketing expenses
- Responsible for managing planning, forecasting, actuals and variance reporting and analysis
- 5+ years of experience working within Accounting
