In a world where companies are bringing everyone back to the office this company has an extremely rare 80% work from home arranegment, only needing you to go into the office a maximum of 4 times a month! Our client is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this busy and challenging role is integral to the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process fortnightly payroll for a workforce of 50+ employees.
- Prepare and lodge monthly BAS, Payroll Tax, and FBT submissions.
- Perform month-end general journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and work schedules.
- Manage daily sales, cash flow, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting.
- Support the external auditor with work papers.
- Reconcile superannuation and lodge quarterly superannuation payments.
- An Experienced Financial Accountant with 4+ years’ experience in accounting, demonstrating a strong command of financial principles and applying them to day-to-day tasks.
- Experienced in Payroll capable of processing fortnightly payroll for a workforce of 50+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in MYOB and advanced Excel, utilizing these tools for efficient financial operations, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Skilled in Month-End Processes, including preparing general journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and work schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Experienced in Tax Compliance, handling monthly BAS submissions, Payroll Tax, and FBT filings accurately and on schedule.
