Most Valuable Contractor 2024 Q2 Awards Ceremony

Most Valuable Contractor 2024 Q2 Awards Ceremony
Bianca Luck: Hello and welcome to a very special edition of P2P Australia Live as we present our end of quarter most valuable contractor. I'm Bianca Luck, New South Wales Director and Sydney Branch Manager. On today's broadcast, the People2People's team are taking over and announcing our three finalists for most valuable contractor and revealing our winner for quarter one for 2024. The MVC was established to honour and celebrate the exceptional contributions of our temp and contractor workforce who go above and beyond their roles. Here at People to People Recruitment, we understand that contractors are a vital part of our team and their dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence deserve to be acknowledged. The MVC award aims to shine a spotlight on those individuals who consistently demonstrate outstanding performance, reliability, and truly exemplify what it means to be an invaluable member of the workforce.

A few weeks back, Our team of consultants across Australia sent out an email to introduce the concept of MVC and asked our clients if they wish to nominate their temp and contract worker for the award. The criteria for this award looks at how these individuals go above and beyond in three main areas. These areas are attitude, reliability, and communication. On behalf of our temporary and contract team here at People to People, I'm excited to announce our very first finalist for MVC. The first nominee is Harriet Millen. We are now joined by People to People's Temp and Contract Services Consultant from Brisbane, Georgia Arnett, to tell us a little bit more about what makes Harriet an MVC.

Georgia Arnett: Hi, I'm Georgia from P2P Brisbane. The first nominee is Harriet Millen. They were nominated by Sophie, their supervisor, and the comments as to what make them a valuable contractor are, Harriet had made a huge impact on our team over her time with us. She is great with her communication and is able to share her value across all our geographical areas. She has high attention to detail, which importantly saves our staff a lot of stress and impacts our patient outcomes as a result. Thank you for everything, Harriet.

Bianca Luck: Thank you, Georgia. Now let's take a look at our second nominee for MVC. The second nominee is Mark Henderson. We are now joined by People to People's Supply Chain Management Consultant from our Parramatta branch, Marie Kittu, who's going to tell us a little bit more about what makes Mark an MVC.

Marie Kittu: Hi, I'm Marie and I'm the supply chain consultant here at People to People Parramatta. The next nominee for quarter one MVC is Mark Henderson. The reason Mark was nominated was since Mark joined Canon Medical System, he has quickly become a most valued employee. He quickly picked up the duties expected of him and fitted into our small team like he was always meant to be there. He has brought his humour, great work ethic and has made the warehouse a brighter place to work and run. Thank you.

Bianca Luck: Thank you, Marie. Now let's take a look at the final nominee for MVC. Finalist three is Simone Levi. We're now joined by People to People's recruitment consultant from Sydney, Tina Marie Smith, to tell us a little bit more about what makes Simone an MVC.

Tina Marie Smith: Hello, my name is Tina Marie from our People to People Sydney office. The next nominee for MVC Quarter 1 is Simone Levy from Delivering for Customers. The comments for Simone were, Simone is very deserving. Has she not only been adaptable and proactive in just rolling her sleeves up to take on whatever that needs to be done, she has also become knowledgeable and established clear processes for areas that have been today ambiguous. It's noticed in the business with operational leadership demonstrating trust in her. She's a great communicator and brightens everyone's day. Congratulations, Simone.

Bianca Luck: Thank you, Tina. So once again, the three nominees are Harriet Millen, Mark Henderson and Simone Levi. And the winner is Mark Henderson. We are now joined by Marie Kiddo from People to People, Western Sydney, Parramatta team to accept the award on behalf of Mark.

Marie Kiddo: Hi, Marie.

Bianca Luck: Hello. How are you today?

Marie Kiddo: Good, good, thank you.

Bianca Luck: That's good. Big congratulations to Mark.

Marie Kiddo: Thank you very much. Yes, on behalf of my candidate, Mark, I just wanted to obviously say Thank you for this recognition. I know that Mark is truly grateful for the opportunity to be working with incredible team and managers. And he has mentioned it's been such a rewarding experience. But also working with Mark, I can truly say he is truly deserving of this award. And I'm very proud of him. So congratulations once again.

Bianca Luck: Oh, that's so nice. So how long has Mark been a tempered contractor for people to people?

Marie Kiddo: So Mark has been a contractor with People2People for about four years now and has really showed great commitments in terms of his work ethics towards our different companies that he's been working for with us.

Bianca Luck: Great. So has he been working for four years in the same job or a variety of different jobs?

Marie Kiddo: He has worked a long tenure in both. Both of the clients are one of the two of the biggest clients that we are currently working with here at the supply chain team here in People to People Parramatta. So he has been in the business previously for three years and now has just almost clipped over one year with the current business he's with now.

Bianca Luck: Fantastic. And what makes a good temp and contract worker like Mark?

Marie Kiddo: I guess someone that is dedicated, motivated, and is always looking for a great way to obviously bring in themselves and contribute to the team to ensure that they can get the best out of the opportunity available.

Bianca Luck: Nice. So if anyone's looking for a temp role right now, how can they reach out to you, Marie?

Marie Kiddo: Yes. If you are looking for any temporary contract roles here at People Parramatta Supply Chain, specifically the Western Sydney, please reach out to me on 0296287768. Otherwise, you can also contact me at marie at people2people.com.au.

In her own words: ‘’I’ve only ever worked at two recruitment agencies. Loyalty and feeling secure are important to me. As for people2people; well, they’re like my family. I’ve never stopped loving recruiting and the buzz it gives me.” The candidates she’s placed in junior support roles back in the early days of her career are now Financial Controllers who rely on her exclusively to source talent. She is proud to be a part of this life cycle. She treats her clients and candidates well; relationships and commitment have always been the key to her success. It’s simple; whenever they call, she answers the phone. She is reliable, energetic, and delivers temporary and contract results, fast! She recalls a long-standing client commenting to her that when he hadn't heard back from her for a few hours he concluded she must have gone on an overseas holiday! She is now growing a contingent temporary and contract team focused on billing high and being happy.
