Introducing Carbon Invoice

Introducing Carbon Invoice
Mark Smith: Okay, we've got a very special guest here on P2P live on Friday all the way from Wellington in New Zealand, and that's Carlos Chambers from Carbon Invoice. Good afternoon, Carlos.

Carlos Chambers: Good afternoon, Mark. Great to be here.

Mark Smith: I presume we have your support on Sunday morning?

Carlos Chambers: I'm not gonna go that far. I mean, we're meant to be talking about sustainability, and I don't think I could sustain myself if I support the All Blacks on Sunday morning. I just don't think that could happen. But let's not talk about that. Let's jump into what we are here to talk about, which is Carbon Invoice and the services that you provide.

[About Carbon Invoice]

Mark Smith: I just wanted to mention that we're about to do a press release from People to People today about a survey we did on purpose and sustainability and what that means for talent who are looking for work. Do you want to tell everybody about what Carbon Invoice is all about and how businesses like service businesses can get involved?

Carlos Chambers: Absolutely, Mark. I'm Carlos Chambers, the CEO and co-founder of Carbon Invoice. We offer service businesses a seriously simple way to start their climate journey in three steps and three minutes. We allow you to measure your carbon footprint using your existing financial data, mitigate your carbon footprint by funding the planting of native Australian trees, and help you communicate the positive impact you're having.

Mark Smith: Great. So, we've been working with you across Australia and the UK, and People to People alone has funded the planting of nearly 5,000 trees in Australia. How can businesses get involved?

Carlos Chambers: We work with all service businesses, including recruitment firms, consultants, agencies, and law firms. If you're in service businesses and looking for a way to start your sustainability journey, this is a simple and credible way to get going.

[How to Connect]

Mark Smith: How can people get in touch with you if they want to learn more?

Carlos Chambers: You can reach out through the website or email me directly at carlosc@carboninvoice.com. We'd love to talk.

[Q&A]

Mark Smith: We've got a question from Terry. Does Carbon Invoice have social media pages to follow the tree planting work?

Carlos Chambers: Yes, we create positive business profiles for our customers, and you can track the impact on positive.business.

[Closing]

Mark Smith: Thanks, Carlos, for joining us on P2P live. We look forward to having you back to discuss the impact and more questions.

Carlos Chambers: Thank you, Mark, and thanks to People to People and Frog for your leadership on this important issue.

About our speaker

We exist so every independent business can make a positive impact by taking meaningful climate action. Be aware, be active and be positive is our motto.

For too long climate change and capitalism have been stuck at opposite ends of the negotiating table, unable to reach agreement. 40% of global emissions come from small and medium businesses - while more than half say it’s important to measure and reduce their carbon footprint, only 1 in 20 actually do. Something is not right.

We think the answer to this is making businesses aware and giving ways to take smart actions they can be proud of. Action is our tool and positivity is our fuel. Humans learn best through experiences, and we deliver these in memorable and lasting ways, stimulating more action and compounding the impact.
